Prior to co-founding FORMM in 2018, Michael was born and raised in bonnie Scotland. After studying at Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Glasgow School of Art, he began his Architectural career working at the world-renowned Foster + Partners in London, working on high profile projects such as Bloomberg’s London Headquarters. In 2012, Michael was brought Stateside to Los Angeles, and spent the next 6 years designing award winning offices for some of the world’s leading technology and apparel companies across the US.

Michael is a member of the AIA and a licensed Architect in the State of California. Michael’s primary focus in the practice is pushing the design discourse forward on all projects. Having a diverse repertoire of project experience including luxury residential, hospitality, commercial office interiors, and ground-up multi-family developments, Michael believes in the power of design, and relishes a challenge.
